Safe Sex

I have wanted to volunteer for a while, but lots of things conspired against it. Mostly laziness.

But I finally started to volunteer to do sexual education for Howard Brown Health Center at Steamworks. (Whoa! Clicking through their site, I recognize a guy from the gym at Palm Springs... Go figure.) I figured it would be a lot more salacious and titalating than it actually was. It was pretty mundane; most of the time was spent memorizing the order of the condom boxes (Large, Extra Thin, Thin, Big Head, Black, Mint, Ribbed, Bottom Condom, and Regular. See? I can still do it.) The rest of the time was spent trying to figure out how to get people interested.

The only brief bit of naughtiness I saw was when I got a quick (and I mean quick - Daniel (the outreach leader) deliberately walked as briskly as possible so as not be a clothed-buzzkill) tour. The place is a friggin' maze... Twists turns and lots and lots of doors. Alice in Wonderland, indeed.

Their flyers are, uh, basic. For example, the one for free HIV testing (which they do in the facility when we are doing sexual outreach) is plain and spartan but makes no mention of the fact that we don't do it through blood draws. So Daniel said I he would welcome any design work to put together new flyers / banners.

So here is what I came up with: (I am proudest of the first two)

So please, review and give me your comments.
