Cry my a freakin' river

Preface: I know this will garner almost no sympathy, but this is my blog and I will whine if I want to. Who cares if this makes me look like a poor-little-rich-boy?

People assume that working in Palm Springs is a big holiday. That I am lounging pool side, laptop in lap (heating my groin the way PowerBooks are known to do) sipping my liquid lunch as I recline back. Alas, my working conditions are not quite that splendid.

My delicate routine of getting up at 4:50 to go workout is thrown off because I start working at 5:30 am to be working Central hours. I find that that when 3pm rolls around, I still work because it still feels like the work day is still going. I skip lunch because 10 am isn't a good time to eat lunch, but around noon PST is a hot time to have meetings Central time. More work, less food.

Working is effecient enough - I get a lot of time to work by myself and get good thinking done, but the face-to-face is missing. Enter iSight. I got one for my lead programmer and it kicks ass. Windows works, but only for XP which is a bummer. The added draw back to all of this though: I have to wear pants.
