Apples in the Sun

Wierd dream.

Dreamt I was in the future, and I was with a small group of humans that was being hunted down by cyborg type robots, that looked human. One of the cyborgs though, was trying to help us and gave us information that if you fed the 'borgs these kind of electronic, digital apples, then they would start decaying. All you had to do was get it into their mouth and the decay would start. The decay looked like tissue paper burning, the slow winding embers through their skin starting at their mouth.

But the woman helping was also trying to get us killed, but in a very sloppy way. She would lead us, or particularly me, into traps where a lot of cyborgs would be waiting. I would do some amazing stunts, shove a bit of the electronic apple and run.

By the end of the dream, the cyborg group had figured out that we knew how to kill them, but they were still after us and we were trying to figure out a way to get better weapons than having to do hand-to-hand combat, so we thought about making apple juice and putting it in squirt bottles -- all we had to do was get it into their mouths.

Now what to do about the double agent robot?

The New Year!

The New Year came in with a soft, barely audible pop.

M and I spent the evening at a friend of mine, who had 10 people over with food for 30. It was all delicious and I spent way too much time walking back and forth between the lawn chair and the dessert end of the table. I grazed too much on vanilla pound cake and tasty brownies. The evening was pretty quiet -- no Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve! -- and after the finale of fireworks, the entire party headed home.

The day after was quiet and mild as well -- we went and saw Adaptation. Way weird movie. It starts one place, ends in a totally different one, with way too much meta stuff in between.

Got to sleep in today. It was a nice feeling. Still sore from Tom's killer leg workout.
