Styrofoam
A recent find at Virgin Mega Store (a truly dangerous place for me) has turned out quite well. I picked up a cd from the amalgam band Styrofoam made up of Arne van Petegem and numbers of other bands (Ben Gibbard - Postal Service / Death Cab for Cutie), Markus Acher (Notwist (who I am really digging these days) and Lali Puna) and Valerie Trebeljahr (Lali Puna) among others.
The album is called Nothing's Lost (Amazon Link - If you like this song, buy the CD!) which -- now that I think of it -- dovetails with my CD compilation I did for Frank called "All Is Not Lost." This sort of music seems to be engineered to push my buttons -- some of it is in a minor key, haunting lyricist (although I haven't figured out what all the lyrics are at this point) and just enough blippiness to make it pop-ish. Anyway, take a listen to the sprawling, swirling "Make it Mine" (8.4 MB | 9:15 | AAC Format -- Quicktime should handle it)

yeah I just bought that CD!
I'm digging it so far... I have to admit I ended up here looking for the lyrics to that very song
I'll put them up here if I run into them
