This is why I am a liberal

A photography student taking pictures of a bridge and a lock was harassed and treated as a potential terrorist. The implied racism is bad. The weird, over-protective security paranoia is bad. But the most chilling and worst part about the whole incident is that by standing up for his rights just brought more and more heat and pressure against him, which just makes me so frustrated. The police could do whatever they wanted and in the face of multiple armed police, the reality is powerlessness.

The Patriot Act must go.
